Round size #4 Shaker box with starburst design
The top has a “starburst” pattern, or what is known as a radial match in the veneering world.
7.25” wide x 3.25” tall.
A fun small knot is seen in one of the green pieces. The darker top pieces are walnut.
The oval side band is made of cherry.
The swallowtail fingers are individually hand cut and secured with copper tacks made from 19-century machines.
The bottom is signed “BBY 2024 cherry”
Boxes are first finished with beeswax, carnauba wax, orange oil, and then two protective coats of polyurethane
